NFL Week 3 - DFS Values & Plays

Take advantage of the percentage a player is owned! The higher a player's exposure, the better you have to be at choosing other positions. Try to mix in different exposures to create your own unique lineup. Previous millionaire winners have a total ownership percentage of 100.56% each week, and the range between 75%-125% is recommended to increase your chances of winning.

QB: Patrick Mahomes, $6,500 (6.71% Ownership)

Patrick Mahomes makes for a strong DFS play this week against the Giants, and the numbers back it up. The Chiefs enter at 0-2 and absolutely need a spark, which means Mahomes is going to have to do it all. Kansas City has no running game to lean on — he’s been the team’s leading rusher through the first two weeks — so expect the volume to stay sky-high both through the air and on the ground. The Giants are coming off a tough overtime divisional loss and now face one of the most dangerous quarterbacks in the league with his back against the wall. That combination of desperation, usage, and upside makes Mahomes a high-ceiling option in DFS.

RB: Derrick Henry, $7,500 (7.87% Ownership)

   Derrick Henry is shaping up as one of the top DFS running back plays this week, and the setup is too good to ignore. Detroit’s defense has been average against the run, sitting squarely in the middle of the pack, and they now face a Ravens team projected to score the most points on the slate. With this matchup carrying the highest total of the week, game environment is a massive plus for Henry’s upside. He’s coming off a down performance, which not only lowers his ownership but sets up a classic bounce-back spot for one of the league’s most dominant backs. Baltimore will need to keep pace in what should be a shootout, and that means Henry’s workload and touchdown equity make him an ideal DFS target.

WR: Drake London, $6,000 (9.03% Ownership)

   Drake London is an intriguing DFS option this week, and the stars are lining up for him to finally hit paydirt. Through the first two games he hasn’t found the end zone, but he’s due for a touchdown in a matchup that sets up perfectly for him. London has dominated the Panthers in his last two meetings, posting 6 catches for 74 yards and a score in one game and an explosive 10 receptions for 187 yards and 2 touchdowns in the other. Carolina has struggled defensively to start the season, and this could be the spot where the Falcons’ passing attack finally gets rolling. With his size, red-zone usage, and track record against this division rival, London offers both floor and ceiling at a price point that makes him an excellent DFS play.

TE: Trey McBride, $5,700 (5.97% Ownership)

   Trey McBride hasn’t had a flashy start to the season, but that’s been more about game script than talent — the Cardinals simply haven’t needed him against weaker opponents. That changes this week in a showdown with the 49ers, where Arizona will likely be forced to open up the offense and get everyone involved. McBride is Kyler Murray’s safety blanket, and in a game where quick, high-percentage throws will be critical, his role could expand. While he’s projected to be a popular DFS play at tight end, it’s worth noting that this looks like a tough week overall for the position, making McBride’s reliable target share and red-zone potential even more valuable. His floor is solid, and if he finds the end zone, he could easily separate himself from the field at TE.
