Welcome to English Premier League Best Bets, a Bettor in Green Article Series where we break down the latest action in the English Premier League (EPL) and my favorite bets for the upcoming matchweek.
For an overview of what to expect in this Series, check out my 2025/26 EPL Season Preview and Futures article here.
Recap:
Arsenal took another decisive step in the title race last weekend, routing Spurs in a 4-1 victory in the North London Derby.
Notably, Manchester City lost 2-1 at Newcastle, while Liverpool lost 0-3 at Anfield to Nottingham Forest.
Chelsea moved into 2nd place with a 0-2 win at Burnley, though they’re still 6 points off of Arsenal at the top.
At the other end of the table, Wolves lost to Crystal Palace and are still yet to win this season.

We hit 1-2 for Best Bets, winning with Crystal Palace and losing on both Manchester clubs. The Manchester United match was particularly disappointing, as Everton were down to 10 men after a fight between Everton teammates. Despite this, Everton scored while down a man and won 0-1 at Old Trafford.
Across the Globe was also disappointing, hitting 2-3, winning with Young Boys and Atlético Madrid.
Upcoming Matches:
Matchweek 13 has 5 matches on Saturday, including a London Derby between Spurs and Fulham, and 5 matches on Sunday, culminating in a battle between the top 2 as Chelsea host Arsenal.

Let’s get to the bets:
Best Bets:
Pick #1: 2-Leg SGP: Brentford to Win and Over 1.5 Goals -133 (Nov. 29, 2025; 10:00 a.m. EST):
For my first Best Bet I’m taking a SGP, parlaying Brentford to Win and Over 1.5 Total Goals.
I was skeptical about Brentford’s success this season after losing Manager Thomas Frank, as well as key players Wissa and Mbuemo.
However, they’ve proven me wrong thus far, sitting mid-table in 13th. Caoimhin Kelleher has been solid in goal and they’ve been an attacking threat with Igor Thiago, who has 9 EPL goals this season.
Brentford have been particularly strong at home, with a 4-1-1 record, beating Newcastle, Manchester United, Liverpool, and Aston Villa, with the one draw against Chelsea and their only loss at home to Manchester City. Of the 4 home wins, 3 have been over 1.5 total goals.
In fact, only 2 of their 15 matches in all competitions this season failed to get over 1.5 goals.
Burnley, on the other hand, are struggling as of late, having lost their last 3, with only one match in all competitions failing to get over 1.5 total goals.
Pick #2: Sunderland to Win Either Half +100 (Nov. 29, 2025; 10:00 a.m. EST):
For our next Best Bet, I’m looking at a battle between 7th and 8th place, as Sunderland host Bournemouth at the Stadium of Light.
Sunderland are currently undefeated at home, with 3 wins and 3 draws. Of those 6 matches, they’ve won either half 5 times.
Notably, Sunderland are tied for 4th in goals conceded, with only Arsenal, Crystal Palace, and Manchester City conceding fewer.
Bournemouth, on the other hand, don’t have a great away record, with 1 win, 2 draws, and 3 losses at home in the EPL.
Further, they’ll likely be without top scorer, Antoine Semenyo, as well as without Justin Kluivert.
Bournemouth are in a bit of a slump, having lost 3-1 and to Manchester City, 4-0 to Aston Villa in their last away matches, then had a 2-2 draw with West Ham last weekend. They now will face another tough test at the Stadium of Light, which should be in full voice behind their Sunderland team.
Pick #3: 2-Leg SGP: Aston Villa to Win and Over 1.5 Goals -125 (Nov. 30, 2025; 9:05 a.m. EST):
For my final bet, I’m looking at something similar to my first bet, Aston Villa to Win and Over 1.5 Total Goals.
Aston Villa had a rough start to the season, failing to win any of their first 6 in all competitions and crashing out of the Carabao Cup. Since then, they’ve won 10 of their last 12, losing only to Liverpool in the EPL and to Go Ahead Eagles in the Europa League, both on the road.
They’ve won their last 7 home matches, with 5 of those having over 1.5 total goals.
Wolves have been the worst team in the EPL this year by far, with a record of 0-2-10.
They have a new manager, former Luton Town and Middlesbrough manager Rob Edwards. However, he suffered a 0-2 defeat at home against Crystal Palace in his first match in charge.
Of their 15 matches in all competitions this season, 13 have gone over 1.5 goals.
With the form of Villa and the struggles of Wolves, I wouldn’t be surprised if Villa can put 2 or 3 past Wolves with ease.
Across the Globe:

Athletic Club Moneyline +110 (Spain; La Liga)
RB Salzburg Moneyline +110 (Austria; Austrian Bundesliga)
