Welcome in to Champions League Best Bets, brought to you by Bettor In Green, where we recap the latest Champions League action and look ahead with my favorite bets for the upcoming matches.
Recap:
Arsenal came out the big winners of Round 5, beating Bayern Munich to remain the only perfect team left in the Champions League, as Inter also lost to Atlético Madrid.
In the battle at the bottom, Benfica got their first win over Ajax, who have 5 straight losses in the competition.
In another big matchup, Chelsea got a 3-0 victory over Barcelona.

We had another relatively poor betting week, with a record of 1-2. We won Newcastle to Win Either Half, despite them going on to lose the match. We lost our Harry Kane prop as he was ineffective against Arsenal, then lost our parlay with Liverpool losing 1-4 to PSV Eindhoven.
Upcoming Matches:
I actually am not totally thrilled with this slate from a betting perspective, though I did find 3 bets I like and will be playing this week.
The marquee match on Tuesday is Inter Milan hosting Liverpool, while the marquee match for Wednesday is a clash between Real Madrid and Manchester City at the Bernabéu in Madrid.

Let’s get to the bets:
Best Bets:
Pick #1: 2-Leg Parlay: Bayern Munich Moneyline and Tottenham Hotspur Moneyline -133 (Dec. 9, 2025; 12:45 p.m. EST and 3:00 p.m. EST):
For my first bet, I’m taking two home favorites to get the win on Tuesday in a 2-Leg Parlay.
First up is Bayern Munich hosting Sporting CP.
Bayern Munich are playing dominant football this season. They’re 8 points clear at the top of the Bundesliga table and have an astounding +40 goal differential, scoring 49 and giving up only 9.
They only have one draw (2-2 away to Union Berlin) and one loss (the 3-1 defeat at Arsenal in the last round of the Champions League), and have won every other match they’ve played this season, including every home match.
They take on Sporting CP, who have had a surprisingly strong UCL campaign, sitting in 8th. They’re coming off a 1-1 draw to Benfica in the Portuguese League.
Sporting have struggled away from home, drawing Benfica in their domestic league, drawing with Juventus in the UCL, and losing to Napoli in the UCL.
Bayern will be the toughest test yet and should get a comfortable home win against a Sporting side that struggles on the road.
The other match is Tottenham hosting Slavia Prague. While I don’t follow Slavia Prague closely, I do follow Spurs closely.
Spurs have been terrible at home this season in the Premier League, with only 2 wins in their 8 home EPL matches this season.
However, they’ve done well at home in the UCL, winning both home matches against Villarreal and against Copenhagen. They just got a critical win against Brentford at home in the EPL, perhaps turning the tide for their miserable home form.
They now face Slavia Prague, who lead the Czech League, but sit 31st in the UCL with a record of 0-3-2.
While Spurs are still facing numerous injuries, Richarlison has been stepping up, while Kolo Muani and Xavi Simons are starting to find their form, with Kolo Muani scoring twice against PSG in the UCL and Xavi getting a goal and assist against Brentford.
Pick #2: Newcastle United to Win Either Half -140 (Dec. 10, 2025; 3:00 p.m. EST):
I’m heading right back to the bet we won last time out, taking Newcastle to Win Either Half.
In that match, against Marseille, Newcastle won the first half, then lost the match outright in the 2nd half. However, they had 20 shots, 9 of which were on target.
While Newcastle currently sit 12th in the EPL, only 3 points separate them from 5th. They sit 11th in the UCL, though just on the outside of the top 8.
I’ve been impressed this season with Nick Woltemade’s start to season, as well as players like Harvey Barnes and Anthony Gordon, the top scorers for Newcastle in this season’s UCL campaign. Gordon has also scored in his last two matches and playing well.
Leverkusen are not the side they were a couple years ago when they won the Bundesliga, having lost numerous players and been through a couple managers since then. However, they’re putting together a decent UCL campaign.
They have 2 wins in their last two UCL matches, against Manchester City and Benfica. Before that, however, they had lost to PSG and had draw with PSV and Copenhagen.
Leverkusen are a good side who are finding some consistency, though they’ve struggled against a few big opponents. I think this game will have a few goals in it and I expect Newcastle to get a couple goals past Leverkusen and win a half.
Pick #3: Napoli to Win Either Half +105 (Dec. 10, 2025; 3:00 p.m. EST):
For my final bet, I’m taking another team on the road to win either half.
One of the most intriguing storylines in this match is not involving the players, but rather the managers, as José Mourinho’s Benfica host Antonio Conte’s Napoli.
Both coaches have previously coached Inter Milan, Chelsea, and Tottenham, and are regarded as two of the best coaches in the modern game.
Napoli are mounting their title defense in Serie A, currently 2nd in the table, tied on points with AC Milan.
They’re 20th in the UCL with a 2-1-2 record, still in the playoff spots. They’re in a good run of form, with 4 wins in their last 5 matches (the other match advancing on penalties in the Copa Italia), including wins against Roma and Juventus.
While De Bruyne will be out injured, Scott McTominay and Rasmus Højlund should both be fit, with Højlund having 2 goals and 2 assist in his last 5 matches.
Mourinho’s Benfica have been subpar, particularly in the Champions League. They’re 3rd in the Portuguese League, though have only managed draws against the bigger teams in the league.
In the UCL, they’ve really struggled, losing 4 and only winning their last match, against last-place Ajax.
I think there is great value in this bet, as I think Napoli are the better side, though the tactical battle between these coaches should be interesting and could lead to a low-scoring match.
